Heidi Clopton, OTR/L

Heidi graduated from UT Memphis in 1998 with Highest Honors. She was honored in 2007 when the College of Allied Health Sciences named her one of 35 outstanding alumni in UT's last 35 years. She is the owner of Centers of Development and Therapy Director. Center of Development is a pediatric private therapy practice supplying Occupational, Physical, Speech, Neuro-Visual, Music, Nutritional, and Behavioral Therapies to the Upper Cumberland. Heidi has extensive training in child development, motor skills, Sensory Processing Disorders, Floortime/Engagement Techniques for ASD, biomedical therapies & nutrition, functional vision and neurology. She is passionate about patients' health and nutrition. She believes giving the brain the right fuel it needs can improve therapy outcomes drastically!


Myriam Aponte, VT

Myriam studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Iowa and graduated from College of Notre Dame in 1984. She began working at COVD in 2010 as a Vision Therapist and Translator.


Sheri Brimm, PT

Sheri holds a Bachelor's of Health Science Degree from University of Kentucky in Physical Therapy. She has 20 years of experience in physical therapy. She has a special love for treating pediatrics and has worked with kids for most of her career. Sheri has received training in (John Barnes) Myofascial Release and Total Motion Release. Sheri's approach to patient care is to treat the whole person in a comprehensive approach using multiple techniques. Highlights of Sheri's career include experience in rehabilitation hospitals, acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, wound care, pediatrics, schools, and outpatient orthopedics. Sheri was also the Director of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for 7 years.


Barbara Geer, COTA

Barbara received her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant in 1997. In 2003, Barbara was awarded top student in her graduating class for her work and studies on Autism. She has worked for Center of Development for 9 years, and she continues to love her work in Pediatric Occupational Therapy treatment.


Jeff Geer, COTA

Jeff received his Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant at Nashville State Community College in 2010. He has been working with COD for 3 years.


Lucretia Medlin, LDO, LPN

(Licensed Dispensing Optician and Licensed Practical Nurse) 

Lucretia has 15 years experience as an Optician. She has the experience to provide every patient with the exact eyewear and contacts needed to provide the best vision and visual function possible.
